That was July!

You might have noticed I have been a bit quiet recently on the blog. That's because its the wedding silly season with anything up to 3 weddings every weekend which all need processing during the week.

July came and went and for the most part was rather wet. I have picked two contrasting weddings to show, the first was on the 21st July when half the country was flooded. The second was a complete contrast with warm and sunny weather.

Stacy & Jason's wedding in the rain

The first of the two weddings I'm showing was on the weekend when parts of the country flooded and wedding guests had stories of being stranded on the motorway for hours.

Stacy & Jason married in the church at Piddington in Northamptonshire and then had a carnival parade to the marquee. A few guests might have noticed the marquee carpet was a little soggy, the previous night the whole marquee was under two feet of water. Jason & Stacy had brought the entire stock of wellies from B&Q just in case, but a JCB dug trench around the marquee drained the water in time for the reception.

Abigail & Richard's wedding in the sun

The second of the two weddings I'm showing was on a rare sunny day in July. Abigail & Richard married in the church at Cottingham in Northamptonshire and had a marquee in the garden.

They had a bright sunflower theme to the wedding and arranged for an ice cream van to come along. It's just as well the sun came out.
