Let your guests choose the music

Jess & Joe hired a Juke Box for their wedding in Hertfordshire. Instead of the usual DJ or band the guests got to choose the music for the dancing.

Jess & Joe's wedding on the 28th October 2006

TV actor Joe married deputy stage manager Jess at The Priory in Little Wymondley, Herts. (http://www.thepriory.net/) on the 28th October.

Joe comes from a family of actors, his dad is Martin Shaw who played Doyle in the Professionals and more recently Judge John Deed. Jess is currently the deputy stage manager for Cabaret at London's Lyric theatre.

The brides father, Tony, made the couples fantastic cake and decorated the barn with beautiful flowers.

Jennifer & Richard's wedding on the 14th October

Jennifer & Richard had a civil ceremony and reception at Statham Lodge Hotel in Cheshire (http://www.statham-lodge.co.uk/). Once again the weather was kind and the guests enjoyed a drinks reception in the garden before sitting down to dinner.

Accepted file formats

I'm getting a lot of people sending me emails with various file formats including PowerPoint and Excel. I have trouble viewing these files as I'm not using this software.

When sending me files by email (for example album choices) please send them as plain text, Word format, JPG or PDF. Otherwise it's likely I won't be able to open the file.

Christmas deadlines

It's that time of the year again. The deadline for Christmas album orders is now upon me. If you have not yet approved your album proof and would like the album in time for Christmas you will need to let me have your approval by Saturday 21st October.

The deadline for print orders is Friday 7th December.

Simon appears in the Sun Newspaper (No, not on page 3)

I received an email from another wedding photographer asking why I had appeared on the website of the Sun Newspaper in the background of a photograph of Paul McKenna at a recent wedding in Windsor. Now it's not every wedding that has several paparazzi photographers stalking in the bushes to photograph the guests and the couple. I'm not allowed to tell you whose wedding I was photographing, but you could of course visit the Sun Newspaper's website and maybe search for "celeb-packed wedding" and see if you can spot me.

Sophie & Ryan's wedding in London on the 30th September

Sophie & Ryan held their ceremony at Westminster Register office and then took their guests to dinner at Villandry restaurant on Great Portland Street (http://www.villandry.com/restaurant/). After which they a Route master bus took them on a scenic tour of the city at dusk on route to the ICA for an evening reception.
